Frequently Asked Questions
A few considered answers to questions we’re often asked, designed to help you understand how we approach food, service, and the overall experience.
How much does wedding catering cost?
Our wedding catering typically starts from around £75 per guest, depending on your menu, guest numbers and style of service.
Most of our couples invest between £75 – £140 per person for a full experience that includes canapés, a wedding breakfast, and thoughtful service throughout the day.
We’ll always guide you towards the right balance of food, flow and budget – so everything feels considered, not compromised.
How much do you charge?
Every wedding we cater is designed from the ground up, so pricing is tailored rather than fixed.
After an initial conversation, we’ll create a clear, itemised proposal based on your ideas, your guest numbers, and how you’d like the day to feel. No hidden extras, no unnecessary complexity, just a well-structured plan.
Can we really eat anything we like at our wedding?
Yes – and that’s exactly how we approach it.
Whether it’s generous sharing boards, slow roast oven feasts, or elegant plated dining, we’ll build a menu around what you genuinely enjoy eating. The best weddings feel personal, and the food should reflect that.
Are we the right fit for you?
We’re best suited to couples who see food and service as a defining part of their wedding – something that shapes the atmosphere, not just fills a gap in the day.
If that sounds like you, we’ll get along very well.
Planning Your Wedding
How does the booking process work?
It all starts with an initial consultation, where we take the time to get to know you and understand your vision for the day. This is where we can begin shaping your menu together and explore what will work best for you, your guests, and your venue.
Following this, we’ll send you a tailored quote based on everything we’ve discussed.
If you’re happy to go ahead, simply accept the quote and we’ll secure your date with a 25% deposit.
As your event approaches, we’ll stay in touch to refine the details. Around one month before your wedding, we’ll confirm final guest numbers, make any necessary adjustments to your invoice, and request the remaining balance.
From start to finish, we’ll guide you through the process to make everything as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Do you offer tastings?
Yes, tastings are a relaxed and important part of the process, giving you the chance to experience the food and refine your menu with us.
We usually arrange these once you’re booked in, so the menu reflects your direction rather than feeling generic. It’s as much about shaping the overall experience as it is about choosing individual dishes.
Our tasting menus include a selection of at least five dishes and start from £75 per person, with a minimum of four guests.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 12–24 months in advance, particularly for peak summer dates.
That said, if your date is sooner, it’s always worth getting in touch – we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Can you help with a DIY or marquee wedding?
Yes, this is where we can be especially helpful.
If you’re planning a wedding outside of a traditional venue package, whether that’s at home, in a marquee, or a completely blank canvas space, we can help you shape the day from the ground up.
From layout and timings to equipment, logistics, and service flow, we’ll guide you through the practical side so everything runs smoothly and feels effortless on the day.
We’ve supported many couples in creating relaxed and personal weddings in unique spaces, making sure the food, service and overall experience come together exactly as planned.
Food, Service & Logistics
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Absolutely. We cater for all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergens.
We approach this with the same level of care and attention as the main menu so every guest feels properly looked after, not like an afterthought.
Do you cater for children?
Yes, we do.
We offer a dedicated children’s menu, including both main courses and desserts, designed to be simple, familiar, and enjoyable for younger guests (aged 12 and under) while still prepared and presented with the same care and quality as the rest of your menu.
Do wedding caterers need a kitchen?
Not at all.
We regularly operate from fully equipped field kitchens, working in marquees, private homes, and blank canvas venues. We bring our own gazebos and equipment, allowing us to cater completely off-grid without compromising on quality.
You might also want to explore our interactive catering options, including hog roasts, mobile pizza station, and fry stations, all designed to create a relaxed, engaging food experience for your guests.
If you’re planning a more formal, plated meal, we can also bring in gas ovens and the necessary setup to deliver restaurant-quality service in almost any setting.
We’ll always guide you early on with any logistical considerations, so everything runs smoothly on the day.
Do you provide staff for the day?
Yes, we provide a full team to support your day from start to finish.
This typically includes everything from welcome drinks through to your evening reception, if required, with chefs, front-of-house staff, and experienced supervisors to ensure everything runs smoothly and feels well-paced.
Will you coordinate timings with our venue or planner?
Absolutely.
We can create a detailed order of the day during your initial consultation, ensuring everything is thoughtfully planned from the outset.
We work closely with your venue, planner, and any other suppliers to ensure everything flows seamlessly – from canapés served after the ceremony, through to the wedding breakfast and into the evening.
Our role is to make sure the food and service fit naturally within your day, so everything feels effortless and runs exactly as it should.
Do you offer bar services?
Yes, we can provide a fully managed bar service alongside your catering.
This can be structured in a way that suits your day – whether that’s a hosted bar, pay-as-you-go, or a combination of both. We’ll guide you on what works best for your guest profile and style of wedding.
Can you help with drinks for the meal?
We can.
From welcome drinks through to table wines and your toast, we’ll help you plan and present drinks in a way that complements your menu and keeps the day flowing naturally.
We’re happy to prepare and serve welcome drinks, even if these are provided by you, and ensure table drinks are properly chilled and ready for guests to enjoy.
For the toast, we can prepare and serve glasses of fizz to your guests, or alternatively provide bottles to the table for your guests to pop and self pour.
Our aim is to keep things smooth, considered, and in keeping with the style of your day.
Where can we use you for our catering?
We cater across Devon, Cornwall, and the wider South West.
Whether your wedding is set in a coastal venue, a countryside marquee, or a private estate, we’ll work seamlessly within your setting to deliver a beautifully planned experience.
For celebrations further afield, we’re always open to discussing your plans and tailoring our service to suit your location.
If you have a clearer idea of how you’d like your wedding to feel, the next step is to start shaping the menu together.
